This traditional cornbread is soft and moist on the inside with a golden brown crust and a touch of honey flavor
You Will Need
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Place flour, cornmeal, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl and stir to combine. In a second bowl, beat the eggs with a hand mixer until lightened. Add cream, oil, and honey and beat well.
- Make a well in dry ingredients. Pour in wet ingredients and mix with a wooden spoon until just combined (be careful not to overmix). Pour batter into greased baking pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Serve warm with butter or clotted cream.
